Laboratory and Imaging
Ultrasound
Ultrasound: A Non-Invasive Diagnostic Tool
At Uinta Veterinary Services, we use advanced ultrasound technology to diagnose internal conditions in pets without requiring invasive surgery. Ultrasound provides real-time images of organs such as the liver, kidneys, and heart, allowing us to detect issues like tumors, fluid buildup, or pregnancies with accuracy. This quick and painless method helps us make timely, informed decisions while keeping your pet comfortable and stress-free.
X-Ray
X-Ray: Seeing Beneath the Surface
Our cutting-edge x-ray technology enables us to examine your pet’s bones, joints, and internal organs without resorting to invasive procedures. X-rays are vital for diagnosing fractures, arthritis, foreign objects, and assessing heart and lung health. This non-invasive technique offers clear and detailed internal images, helping us diagnose conditions swiftly and accurately without putting your pet through unnecessary surgical procedures.
Lab Work
Lab Tests: Comprehensive Diagnostics On-Site
At Uinta Veterinary Services, we offer a variety of lab tests to ensure timely and thorough diagnostics. Our in-house lab allows us to quickly assess your pet’s health and begin treatment as needed. We provide the following tests on-site:
- Complete blood count (CBC)
- Blood chemistry panels
- Urinalysis
- Fecal exams (for parasites)
- Cytology (skin and ear samples)
- Heartworm tests
- Tick-borne disease screening
For more specialized tests that we cannot perform in-house, such as advanced hormone panels or certain infectious disease screenings, we work with trusted external laboratories to ensure your pet receives reliable and accurate results. This combination of in-house and external lab testing helps us deliver comprehensive care, all while minimizing invasive procedures and keeping your pet’s well-being our top priority.
Laser Therapy
Laser therapy offers numerous benefits for pets by promoting faster healing and reducing pain and inflammation. It is a non-invasive treatment that uses specific wavelengths of light to stimulate cell regeneration, improve blood circulation, and enhance tissue repair. This makes it particularly effective for managing conditions like arthritis, soft tissue injuries, post-surgical recovery, and chronic pain. At Uinta Veterinary Services, we use laser therapy to help pets heal more comfortably and recover more quickly, enhancing their overall quality of life.
